Turn signals, hazard and reverse lights work
Wipers and washers work
Doors, hood and trunk / hatch latch securely
No visible fluid leaks
Licence plates are secure and readable

Driver seat adjusts and locks securely
Seat belts buckle, retract and are undamaged
Horn works
No unresolved dashboard warning lights
Fuel level is adequate
Heating, ventilation and defrosters work
Interior lights and controls work
Floor and pedal area are clear
Cabin is clean and equipment is secured
Registration and insurance documents are present
Required emergency kit and first aid supplies are present

Engine oil level is correct
Coolant level appears correct (check only when cool)
Brake fluid level appears correct
Washer fluid is adequate
Visible hoses and wiring appear secure
Engine starts without unusual noise or vibration
Steering operates normally
Service brake and parking brake operate normally
